Across Jefferson County, nonprofits are expanding access to safe, stable and affordable housing for residents through shelter, housing navigation, supportive services and long-term affordability efforts.

This work will help meet urgent housing needs today while also strengthening pathways toward lasting stability and more welcoming, livable communities across Jeffco. To support these efforts, Colorado Gives Foundation has awarded $1.58 million in Housing Grants to 27 nonprofits through our collective wellbeing impact area, which reflects our belief that Jefferson County thrives when all community members have consistent access to nutritious food and attainable housing.

This grant opportunity focused on two key priorities:

  • Long-Term Stability: Help individuals and families move from crisis into lasting housing solutions.
  • Affordability: Support efforts that keep housing accessible and strengthen communities for the future.

Across Jefferson County, partners are helping meet residents where they are. Organizations like BeyondHome are supporting transitional housing for single mothers and their families, helping create pathways toward long-term housing stability. Family Tree’s Roots of Courage emergency shelter is expanding safe housing, crisis support and navigation resources for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Other partners are addressing affordable housing, supportive housing, shelter access and community solutions for a wide range of Jefferson County residents.

Together, these efforts strengthen Jefferson County from the inside by helping more neighbors access safe, stable housing and the support they need to thrive.
