Celebrating 50 Years of Making Good Happen
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Colorado Gives Foundation, a milestone that reflects five decades connecting people, ideas and nonprofits to foster a ripple effect of good and build thriving communities across Colorado. We are deeply grateful for the support of our donors, nonprofits and partners who have made this journey possible. Together, we’ve created a legacy of giving that continues to grow.
Throughout 2025, we’ll be celebrating this special anniversary and reflecting on the positive impact we’ve made together.
Who We Are
Colorado Gives Foundation, based in Arvada, Colorado, is a nonprofit organization committed to making good happen. As a community foundation and 501(c)(3) public charity, we work statewide with donors, businesses and nonprofits.
What We Do
At Colorado Gives Foundation, we believe in the power of supporting nonprofits with grants, endowment assistance and free digital fundraising tools. Here’s how:
- Supporting Nonprofits: We offer valuable fundraising resources. ColoradoGives.org is free for any nonprofit to use and can support their digital fundraising year-round, in addition to allowing them to be part of Colorado Gives Day, the largest giving event of the year. We also partner with nonprofits who trust us to manage their endowments.
- Engaging Donors: Our goal is to make giving easy and joyful. We do this with our online giving website, ColoradoGives.org, that makes it easy for donors to support one or many of the thousands of verified nonprofits on the site. We also offer Donor Advised Funds (DAFs), which are like a savings account for charitable giving. Donors put money into the DAF, getting the full tax deduction allowable by law and then use the DAF to make grants to the nonprofits they want to support.
- Helping all of Jeffco to Thrive: We work with nonprofits, businesses and donors to make grants, convene partners and invest for impact in Jeffco.
Our Jefferson County Impact Areas
Jeffco is a special place, home to unique and diverse communities. We love it here, and we’re working with community partners to make significant impact in the following areas:
- Collective Wellbeing: We work to ensure all our neighbors have access to nutritious food and attainable housing.
- Economic Freedom: From early education to workforce development, we help individuals pursue education and job-training so they can achieve economic independence aligned with their goals.
- Vibrant Communities: We strive to create equitable access to physical, behavioral, dental and spiritual health care, while also promoting ways for our neighbors to easily access parks, transportation hubs, farmers markets, recreation centers and other amenities. This will make daily life easier, foster connections and create a sense of belonging that helps our community thrive.
