Colorado Gives Day is Dec. 8, but you can give now.

Early giving is officially open on ColoradoGives.org, which means you can start supporting the nonprofits and causes you care about today. From Nov. 1 through Dec. 8, every donation made for Colorado Gives Day becomes part of a statewide wave of generosity.

Created by Colorado Gives Foundation, Colorado Gives Day brings together more than 5,000 nonprofits and people across the state around one big idea: it’s easily the best day to give.

Every gift supports a nonprofit doing work you care about. And when thousands of Coloradans give together, those individual acts of generosity add up to good on a monumental scale, making Colorado Gives Day one of the biggest giving events in the country.

How to Give Early for Colorado Gives Day

ColoradoGives.org makes it easy to discover and support nonprofits across Colorado in one place.

Search by nonprofit, cause or community. Give to an organization you’ve supported for years, discover a new cause or build a cart with several nonprofits you love.

Whether you give $10 or $100, every gift made now through Dec. 8 counts toward Colorado Gives Day. Easily give with your credit card, bank account, PayPal, Apple or Google Pay, IRA, donor advised fund (DAF) or wire transfer.

How the Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund Works

This year, Colorado Gives Foundation, presenting sponsor PNC and other sponsors are providing a $1 million-plus Incentive Fund for participating nonprofits.

When you donate during Colorado Gives Day, the nonprofit you support receives a share of the Incentive Fund based on the amount it raises during the giving period.

That means thousands of individual donations across Colorado work together to unlock even more support for participating nonprofits.

How to Get Your First Monthly Gift Matched

Your impact doesn’t have to end on Dec. 8. A Colorado Gives Day donation can introduce you to a new nonprofit, deepen your connection with a longtime favorite or become the start of a year-round giving tradition.

Want to turn your Colorado Gives Day gift into ongoing support?

Start a new monthly donation and Colorado Gives Foundation will match your first monthly gift, up to $100, through a $250,000 Recurring Donation Match.

Monthly gifts give nonprofits consistent support they can count on throughout the year. It’s an easy way to make Colorado Gives Day the start of something that lasts well beyond Dec. 8.

Matching funds are available while funds last.

How Businesses Can Participate in Colorado Gives Day

Colorado Gives Day isn’t just for individual donors. Businesses can bring employees, customers and their communities together through the Good for Business Challenge, sponsored by Gary Community Ventures.

Businesses can create a Group Giving Page, choose nonprofits to support and rally their networks around the causes they care about.

Plus they can win more money for their favorite nonprofit(s). When they raise at least $1,000 between Nov. 1 and Dec. 8, nonprofits will also be automatically entered for a chance to win one of 10 $1,000 prizes. Each prize will be distributed among the nonprofit or nonprofits supported through the winning business’s giving page.

It’s one more way to turn individual generosity into a shared experience.

How to Make the Most of Colorado Gives Day on Dec. 8

Even if you give early, there’s still plenty to celebrate on Colorado Gives Day.

On Dec. 8, donors who give $100 or more to a single nonprofit will be entered into hourly drawings for round-trip domestic airfare provided by Southwest Airlines. A final bonus ticket will be awarded after midnight. Give or give again on Dec. 8 for your chance to win.

Nonprofits will have more chances to win during five Power Hours: 7–8 a.m., 10–11 a.m., 3–4 p.m., 7–8 p.m. and 10–11 p.m. During each Power Hour, nonprofits will compete for additional prizes.

Two grand prize opportunities add even more excitement to Colorado Gives Day, giving participating nonprofits another chance to earn extra funds for their work.

The prizes add some fun to a day that brings thousands of Coloradans together around the causes they love.

Lastly, when donors give they will be given the opportunity to add their selfie to the “Community of Givers” mosaic alongside many others giving on Colorado Gives Day.
