ARVADA, Colo. (April 8, 2025) – Colorado nonprofits have an opportunity to amplify their impact and elevate their digital fundraising thanks to the Level Up program provided by Colorado Gives Foundation and funded by the Schlessman Family Foundation.
This innovative initiative is already transforming nonprofit fundraising outcomes, helping organizations raise more money, connect with donors and strengthen their communities.
Since its launch in 2023, the Level Up program has helped participating nonprofits achieve significant milestones. A total of 189 organizations have participated in the program to date. Among those who participated for the first time in 2024, 30% doubled or more than doubled the amount they raised on ColoradoGives.org compared to 2023. These results exemplify the program’s potential to drive meaningful change and fuel organizational success.
“Colorado nonprofits are at the heart of solving some of the state’s most pressing challenges,” said Jordan Brown, nonprofit success manager for Colorado Gives Foundation. “Level Up empowers these organizations to reach their fundraising potential. By enhancing their digital fundraising skills, nonprofits can grow their donor base, secure essential resources, and keep making a difference in the lives of Coloradans.”
The Level Up program offers hands-on education in digital fundraising, access to volunteer support, and practical tools like an embeddable donation form for their organization’s websites. Participants also benefit from connecting with a network of like-minded peers within the nonprofit sector.
For Heather Davis of Colorado Wind Ensemble, who began her digital fundraising journey with minimal experience, Level Up was a game-changer. “The Level Up program was wonderful for someone like me, just getting started with digital fundraising,” Davis shared. Similarly, Kaitlin Pettit from Toilet Equity noted how the program revolutionized her fundraising approach. “My copywriting has improved so much since completing the program,” Pettit said, adding that receiving a certificate in fundraising copywriting was an invaluable bonus.
Applications for the program’s final year opened on Monday, April 7, and closed on April 18, 2025.
