At Colorado Gives Foundation, we make giving easy so you can focus on creating a positive impact. We accept many forms of donations, including credit cards, bank transfers, donor advised funds and investment assets such as stocks or real estate.

When sending funds to Colorado Gives Foundation, please include your contact information and the intended fund designation. If we can’t identify or reach you within 30 days, the funds will be directed to our unrestricted fund.
Stock Transfer
If you’re interested in making a contribution of stocks to support Colorado Gives Foundation and the work we do in Jefferson County, we’re happy to assist you in the process. Please submit a request to get started.
IRA Charitable Distributions
You can use your IRA Charitable Distribution, also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), to support Colorado Gives Foundation and the work we do in Jefferson County. QCDs cannot be used to make a donation to a donor advised fund. Please consult your tax advisor before making a gift from your IRA. Please submit a request if you’re interested in this option.
Life Insurance Policy
Life insurance policies can be a valuable asset to donate to charity, either through an outright gift or beneficiary designation.
You may decide to make a contribution to Colorado Gives Foundation through a beneficiary designation by designating a percentage or specific amount on your policyholder’s form. This option allows you to support the Foundation without affecting your current financial situation.

Real Estate + Other Appreciated Assets
We welcome gifts of real estate and other appreciated assets. These types of gifts offer a wonderful opportunity to receive certain tax benefits while making a meaningful impact through charitable giving. By gifting appreciated assets, you can avoid paying capital gains tax and qualify for a tax deduction when you itemize your contributions.

Donor Advised Fund (DAF) From Another Institution
DAF From Another Institution
You can use your donor advised fund with Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard or any other organization to support Colorado Gives Foundation and the work we do in Jefferson County. Please submit a request if you’re interested in using your DAF held at another institution.
DAF From Colorado Gives Foundation
You can support Colorado Gives Foundation, the work we do in Jefferson County, or recommend grants to any nonprofit using your donor advised fund. Simply log in to your portal to recommend grants to one or multiple nonprofits in one simple transaction.
